    VINTAGE SIGNED MAYTA MARKSON OVOID POTTERY JAR WITH LID AND BRAIDED TWINE ATTACHED
    Offered here is this Large, Vintage Pottery Ovoid Jar with Lid and Original Braided Twine attached circa 1970's. The jar is signed by the potter "Markson" underneath for the potter Mayta Markson of Canada. We have seen a few of her pottery pieces before. Please see our other Markson pieces currently offered. This one is unique in that it has 4 applied hoops for the twine decoration to run through. The Jar has a shiny brown glaze and is obviously handthrown on a potters wheel. The base clay is a bright white color. This style will fit well in many types of decor.
    CONDITION;
    Excellent Condition with no chips, cracks or repairs to the jar. Very well taken care of.
    MEASUREMENTS;
    The jar measures approximately 6 3/4" tall to the top of the removable lid. It measures 7" wide at its widest point.
    MARKINGS;
    It is marked underneath with the incised Mayta Markson signature.
